Dr Ka Sing Chua is a general practitioner with special interest in medical acupuncture, active in the Medical Association for Prevention of War (MAPW) and International Physicians for Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) and International Campaign for Abolition of Nuclear Weapons (ICANW). He is a past president of the Chinese Association of Victoria and deputy chair of the Building Project Committee. He is national senior adviser of the Chinese Community Council of Australia
